One of the most important tips for maintaining your Birchmeier backpack sprayer is ensuring your Birchmeier is well lubricated. A lubricated sprayer will reduce downtime & extend sprayer life. It is easy to do and takes almost no time.
Once a week, every week, check out the grease reservoir. When it is empty, add more authentic Birchmeier grease. Also, give the grease piston a half a turn to apply grease to the brass cylinder. This is so when the pump mechanism is moving up and down, everything is well lubricated.
If you don’t lubricate your backpack your backpack will eventually break. And because the backpack was not properly lubricated, the warranty will not cover it.

Another important maintenance function you can do on your Birchmeier Backpack is to make sure it’s well lubricated.
The Birchmeier most other backpacks contains its own grease reservoir and by applying a little bit of grease once a week to the backpack it’ll ensure that everything is well lubricated and running well.
And this is the grease reservoir and if you’ll look in here you can see it’s full grease and when it’s empty you’ll want to get some authentic Birchmeier grease you can buy that at BirchmeierBackpacks.com.
But every week once a week you want to give this grease piston a half a turn to apply grease to this brass cylinder here so when the pump mechanism is moving up and down, everything is well lubricated.
If you don’t lubricate your backpack eventually when you pump it’ll put stress on the base and it will snap right here and this is not a warranty situation. If this breaks, Birchmeier will take one look at it and say you didn’t lubricate it – no warranty.
So once a week give this a half a turn to apply grease into the pump mechanism and you’ll have many years of long and valuable service from your Birchmeier backpack.
